呵,失掉了!这句话好比一声钟

 使我猛省到我站脚的地方!

别了!幻想,这骗人的妖童

不能老耍弄它盛传的伎俩。

Grandma

一天老师布置了这道作文题,原本想少写点,可是一动笔可再也停不下来了,结果写了4张纸交了上去

Grandma was the first person I saw when I began to see the light of the world. I was too small then that I can remember nothing about it now, but I can just imagine how benevolent smile on her face was when she held me softly on her arms.

Grandma lived in the countryside. At that time Grandpa was captain of a fishing ship in the Philippines and he only came back for about 20 days during the Spring Festival, so she had to manage all alone the big farm behind the three-storied house.

When I was three and a half year old, I was sent to live with Grandma because my parents were busy with their job. I was crying like crazy when I saw Grandma in the house. Then Grandma volunteered to hold me in arms, walking back and forth in the room, to calm me down. She must have very sore arms then.

The two-and-a-half-year life with Grandma began. Grandma got up very early everyday to prepare for the breakfast. After that she had to do a lot of work such as feeding the chicken and fertilizing the crops. Only when harvest time did she employ some men to work with her. Moreover, she also had to look after me.

I remember during that two and a half years I once had a high fever and didn't feel like to eat from time to time. Grandma was dead anxious and she went everywhere to look for doctors. At last she did find someone and brought home some medicine. However, that was nothing compared to what we had to do later because I was too small and was way beyond reasoning. At morning and night, she would bring a bowl of brown liquid to me. But I was never willing to open my mouth to let the bitter things in so it took Grandma a lot of time and energy, in the way of creativity, along with some magic, to actually get the yucky liquid successfully transferred from the bowl into the stubborn mouth of mine. At last, I was cured and she lost about 10 kilos in return.

That was the happiest time I have ever had. But as that time went by, I had to leave and go back to my parents. Of course I missed her very much so I went live with her during the summer vacation every year. But whenever I returned home, my parents would say that I was wild like a country boy. So they didn't let me to go to the countryside since.

However, my life and Grandma's has crossed again when I was 14.Grandma sold the farm and the house and went to live in our city with Grandpa. I was so happy that I almost jumped to my feet when I heard the news. As later, I spent almost all the time with her.

But new problem came about when I grew older. We were confronted with the so-called generation gap. By and by I found nothing to share with her. So I visited her not so frequently and I even did not feel like to just pick up the phone to give a simple greeting. She had lived in the countryside for so many years so she spoke with a very strong country accent. When we went out, I often keep a distance from her because I felt embarrassed when she talked. But Grandma seemed not to care about this at all. Actually I knew that she was very happy to see me maturing form a lanky child to a big boy.

And now Grandma was 75 years old but still physically strong. She and grandpa live together with us and we make a happy family. Now I am no longer ashamed of Grandma's accent and I feel at ease when we go out together.

I could just write a whole book about Grandma. She was the most caring person I have had except my parents. I still remember the happy days we had on the farm. And I know that she also misses the old days. Actually, gone are the days and Grandma could only keep this memory to fancy her dreams.
